No, it sounds more like Crestron wants to kill support for Crestron Mobile Pro.
The TPMC10 also only supports WEP encryption which is essentially no encryption at all. Even if it doesn't support the latest versions of SSL, I highly doubt the TPMC10 supports the same level of SSL (if it even supports SSL) - yet it is supported. Later in the same OLH they say Crestron Mobile Pro supports SSL.
